Who We Are
Ashford Wide is Ashford’s main community organisation. We’re a non-profit community group running only with volunteers. We bring together residents, businesses, community groups and town events in Ashford, West Surrey (Middlesex).
Working together for a better Ashford
In the past there were several local groups working independently, all with different objectives, but all with the same goal.
To bring something positive to Ashford whether that be in business, through community groups, or local events."
These groups unanimously decided that working together, with one vision would achieve greater results for the town and community. Ashford Chamber of Commerce, Ashford Pride and Ashford Events joined forces with the current Ashford Wide group, creating a new expanded Ashford Wide.
We run entirely with donations and grants, as well as with the dedication and skill of our knowledgable and passionate volunteers.
This year we will be:
- Putting Up Flags
throughout the year to commemorate key events.
- St George’s Flags - April 23rd
- Union Flags - year round
- Pride - June
- Remembrance Day - November
- Christmas - November/December
- Having our Summer Fair on Bank Holiday Monday August 31st
- Having a bubble blowing stall at the Ashford Rotary Classic Car Show with Mr Bubbles on Sunday 6th September
- Remembrance Day parade & service on Sunday 8th November
- Ashford Christmas lights & Christmas tree
- Annual Ashford Christmas Market on Wednesday 2nd December

Ashford Pride did a fantastic job with the flags in the town, commemorating and celebrating special and significant days throughout the year. This is something we have enjoyed carrying on with.
In the past Ashford Chamber of Commerce, along with the support of our local businesses, have been responsible for the Christmas lights in our town, Ashford Wide has since taken on the task of lightning up Ashford!
The Ashford Wide team are always keen to hear from you, the local community.
We would love to have your help making Ashford a better place to live, whether through donations or volunteering, every little helps.

Our leadership team is elected annually from our volunteers and is currently:
